The Search Committee for the Vice-Chancellor (VC) appointed by the Senate of the Institute invites applications from accomplished and strongly motivated academic leaders and administrators who can develop further and improve the management of the following important resource of intellectual growth and higher learning.

Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design (PIFD), Lahore is a federally chartered public -sector degree-awarding premier design institute dedicated to meeting the evolving demands of industry and providing a platform for individuals aspiring to pursue dynamic and challenging careers in the field of art and design. The Institute offers comprehensive art and design education that emphasizes the relationship between products and consumers, fostering innovation, creativity, and practical application. PIFD is a leading institution in Pakistan for Fashion and Creative Design, aims to produce graduates who combine strong art and design capabilities with expertise to create solutions and concepts that are relevant, conceptually sound and aesthetically appealing. Qualification & Experience
Applicants-preferably holding a PhD and a first professional degree in the disciplines of Visual Arts and Design will be assessed according to their academic and leadership abilities and attainments, as well as significant evidence of meaningful academic, administration, professional competence in art and design, strategic planning, financial management, and resource development. A holistic understanding of issues pertaining to the higher education sector, including the design industry, enhancement of pedagogy and quality assurance, research and development, impact on economy, development of human and financial resources, constructive social interaction with communities will be considered a major asset.
Terms of the Appointment
The Vice Chancellor shall be appointed by the Chancellor for a period of 05 years.
- Age Limit Maximum 65 years on the last date fixed for submission of applications.
- Application Appropriately experienced candidates capable of taking up the challenge of the position may apply by sending A letter of intent, Curriculum Vitae on the prescribed format available at: www.pifd.edu.pk, Names and contact details of three referees. The letter should explain, in less than 1000 words, their vision of the strengths and possibilities of development and sustenance of the Institution’s future programmes.
Those already in Government/Semi-Government service are required to apply through proper channel. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview. The candidates are required to submit HEC attested/equivalence copies of the degrees attained and also proof of experience in academics, academic administration, research and development, and other relevant attainments.
