VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT: Applications are invited from Pakistani Nationals to fill the following vacant positions at Medical Teaching Institutions Bannu under Medical Teaching Institution Reforms Act 2015 (amended time to time).
DEAN (Male/Female)
- Minimum Qualification and Experience:
- Medical academic with either a Ph.D. degree or a medical qualification such as MBBS or equivalent, plus a higher Diploma, such as FCPS, FRCP, FRCS, or a US Board certification or equivalent. Additional qualification in Medical Education will be preferred.
- At least 7 years’ administrative experience as head of a department, unit, program, or institution, with recognized leadership qualities, a track record in teaching, and a commitment to medical education and research.
- Term of service: Five years, subject to performance as determined by the BOG.
- Main Responsibilities:
- The Dean will report to BOG MTI Bannu.
- The Dean will be the head of the medical school/college and will be responsible for undergraduate and postgraduate medical education, research, faculty recruitment & development.
- The Dean will be responsible for the administration and financial matters of the institution.
- The Dean shall act as the Chief Executive Officer of the Medical Teaching Institution and shall perform such capacity as per the directives of the Board and the regulations framed under MTI Act.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by BOG.
HOSPITAL DIRECTOR (Male/Female)
- Minimum Qualification and Experience:
- Recognized Master’s degree in Hospital Management OR Health Services Management OR Business Management OR Public Health OR Public Administration OR any other relevant and equivalent management qualification.
- Candidates with recognized medical degrees along with additional management degrees as specified above are also encouraged to apply.
- At least five years of experience at Management level in a reputed health care institution.
- Term of service: Five years, subject to performance as determined by the BOG.
- Main Responsibilities:
- The Hospital Director will report to BOG MTI Bannu.
- Responsible for all non-clinical functions of the hospital.
- Preparation of annual budget and business plan for presentation and approval to the board.
- Maintenance of building and engineering services.
- Maintenance and development of ancillary services including but not limited to pharmacy, nursing, material management, human resources, clerical, IT & communications and security services.
- To act as the principal accounting officer responsible and accountable for maintaining the financial discipline and transparency of the MTI, for implementation and execution of board policies and achieving the targets set by the board.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the BOG.
MEDICAL DIRECTOR (Male/Female)
- Minimum Qualification and Experience:
- Must possess a recognized medical degree with post-qualification in clinical sciences (Medicine & Allied, Surgical & Allied, Radiology or Pathology, etc.) and at least five years of experience of leading a major hospital clinical unit in any clinical department of a health institution.
- The medical director on appointment shall simultaneously receive faculty appointment commensurate with his/her qualification and the prescribed institutional requirement for the faculty post which appointment shall not be limited to terms applicable to the office of the medical director.
- Term of service: Five years, subject to performance as determined by the BOG.
- Main Responsibilities:
- The Medical Director will report to BOG MTI Bannu.
- Ensure clinical excellence in all aspects of hospital functions.
- Ensure timely and appropriate management of patients.
- Ensure the best outcomes of all patients.
- Undertake clinical governance for quality control.
- Assess and audit existing clinical programs and develop new clinical programs.
- Develop an annual clinical budget including capital medical equipment’s request for presentation to the hospital director, MC, and the BOG.
- Other responsibilities assigned by the BOG.
