Category Sales Development Manager

To develop the Category/Sub Category agenda within the business to support long-term Category growth and profitably increase market share.
Responsibilities
- Develop Category Strategy document based on shopper excellence and category dynamics (Category definition, channel growth potential of category, priority channels and key opportunities, define POP strategies and picture of success)
- Develop a structured program of shopper excellence for the category and be recognized as an expert in shopper and category understanding, and, insights through formal research and shopper immersions in all priority channels
- Identify priority channels for the Category/sub Category and work with Sales to recommend tailored Category Channel plans in line with overall market strategy
- Contribute to the Commercial Planning process by identifying the key opportunities and possible action plans for the Category/sub Category
- Recommend clear promotional guidelines based on shopper understanding and current market knowledge. Ensure all promotional investment is properly reviewed and evaluated
- Recommend winning commercial propositions for the category/sub category, effectively communicating these to customer and field sales managers as appropriate
Key Requirements
- 5 or more commercial experience in Sales and/or Marketing
- Graduation or Masters Degree in relevant field
- Understands Customers, Selling process & Key business functions
