Job Title: R&D Coordinator (Furniture Segment)
R&D Coordinator facilitates furniture product development by collaborating with Design, Production and Vendors to ensure adherence to design specifications, timelines and quality standards for efficient, high-quality output.
Role Description:
- Develop and maintain quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Liaison between the design team, production, and vendors to ensure smooth product development.
- Assist in the development of new furniture designs from conceptualization to final production.
- Maintain records of product specifications, material lists and development processes.
- Collaborate with suppliers to source quality materials while ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Identify opportunities to improve production processes and reduce waste during the development phase.
- Ensure product samples meet quality standards and report on deviations, recommending corrective actions.
- Track project milestones and ensure timely delivery of prototypes, samples and final products.
- Coordinate testing of prototypes and new materials to ensure functionality, durability and quality.
- Oversee carpenters and cushioners to ensure efficient operations and quality output.
- Work closely with the Product Designer to refine designs and ensure that they are feasible for production.
Qualification: Minimum Graduation in a relevant field
Relevant Experience: 2-3 year in product development, especially in the furniture industry
