Exciting Job Opportunity: Head Of Supply Chain at LAMA Retail!

As Head of Supply Chain at LAMA, you will play a critical role in strategic planning, overseeing and optimizing the entire supply chain process within an organization. Your role will be pivotal in strategizing the delivery of inventory to stores in response to local market needs, optimization of logistics and operational efficiency.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1-Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with overall business goals and objectives.
2-Collaborate with other departments, such as product, sales, operations, and finance, to understand demand forecasts and incorporate them into the supply chain planning process.
3-Develop and implement inventory strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
4-Implement strategies to mitigate supply chain and financial risks.
5-Lead transportation, warehousing, and distribution processes to ensure timely delivery of products.
6-Monitor the difference between total sales and the cost of goods sold (COGS), indicating the profitability of merchandise assortments.
7-Monitor the percentage of inventory that is aging and implement strategies to reduce excess stock.
8-Monitor the time it takes for the company to convert its investments in raw materials into cash from sales.
9-Track how effectively inventory management software/ERP is being utilized to optimize stock levels and reduce carrying costs.
10-Coordinate import handling processes, including customs clearance, documentation, and compliance with international and Pakistan trade/customs regulations.
11-Implement and maintain effective logistics strategies to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
12-Develop and optimize transportation routes and modes by onboarding different logistics partners to minimize costs and lead times.
13-Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain processes, reduce costs, and improve lead times.

Minimum Requirements:

1-Masters degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
2-Proven experience in supply chain management is essential. Typically, 8-10+ years of experience in retail, with progressive roles in supply chain, inventory management and procurement is preferable.
3-Deep understanding of the retail industry, its trends, supply chain processes, inventory management, and logistics. Familiarity with various retail channels, such as e-commerce, brick-and-mortar stores, or omni-channel retail, is beneficial.
4-Ability to develop and implement strategies for optimizing supply chain operations, improving inventory management, and enhancing merchandising strategies.
5-Experience in negotiating and managing relationships with suppliers, vendors, and partners is often required.
6-Excellent communication skills
