DEPARTMENT: Yarn Warehouse
EXPERIENCE: 4 – 5 Years
QUALIFICATION: Minimum Intermediate
LOCATION: 8th KM Manga Raiwind Road District Kasur

ROLE PURPOSE

The Godown Assistant is responsible for the proper handling, receiving, storage, stock control and issuance of yarn. The position ensures that yarn materials are accurately received, safely stacked, properly recorded, and issued to the required departments in a timely manner with all transactions maintained in Excel and the Oracle system.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in unloading yarn vehicles and ensure the material is handled safely and carefully.
Receive yarn against the relevant IGP (Inward Gate Pass) and verify the quantity, count, lot and other required details.
Check received yarn against supporting documents and report any shortage, excess, damage, or discrepancy to the Warehouse In-charge.
Arrange and stack yarn systematically in designated locations according to yarn count, lot, quality, and other identification requirements.
Ensure proper identification and labeling of yarn stacks for easy retrieval and stock verification.
Maintain yarn stock records updated in Excel on a daily basis.
Update and maintain yarn inventory transactions in the Oracle system.
Issue yarn for Warp and Weft production against systematic demand.
Ensure that issued yarn is properly recorded in stock report, Excel records, and Oracle system.
Monitor stock levels and inform the Warehouse In-charge about shortages, excesses, damaged material or any other discrepancies.
Maintain proper housekeeping, cleanliness, and safe storage conditions within the yarn godown.
Follow company procedures related to material handling, warehouse operations, safety, and inventory control.
Coordinate with Production, Planning, Quality and Warehouse teams regarding yarn receiving and issuance.
Perform any other warehouse related duties assigned by the warehouse In-charge.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualification: Intermediate
Yarn warehouse experience: 4-5 Years
Basic to good knowledge of MS Excel and stock reporting.
Experience using Oracle System for inventory transactions will be preferred.
Good understanding of material receiving, stacking, stock handling and issuance procedures.
Ability to maintain accurate records and perform basic stock reconciliation.
Good communication, teamwork, discipline, and attention to detail.
Ability to follow instructions and maintain proper documentation.
