Iqra University IU Jobs PR & Protocol Officer:
Iqra University is looking to hire a PR & Protocol Officer.
The applicant should be able to:
· Assist HOD in the strategic lead to plan and deliver the organization’s media and PR strategy, including responsibility for all major PR campaigns – Print & Digital
· Assist HOD in Plan foreign and domestic visits, ceremonies and special events.
· Ensure the successful delivery of programmatic activities through targeted marketing collateral, press and social media, and oversee the delivery of a varied and high impact calendar of events
· Raise the profile of IU as a brand within the marketplace, reinforcing the brand identity and associated messages in terms of purpose, values, value proposition, mission and vision
· To Assist HOD all proactive and reactive media relations, including developing and maintaining strong relationships with national and industry press contacts
· To Assist HOD in Draft and edit stories and content for IU newsletters, reports, briefings and wide ranging written outputs, and assist in diversifying our communications through use of video and other media.
· To Assist HOD in design, content, and production of all marketing materials
· Optimize the use of social media tools including blogs, podcasts, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
· Ensure media coverage and publication of press release of events
· Have the capacity to handle crisis and other reactive PR situations with grace and ease
· Respond to communication-related issues in a timely manner
Requirements
· Master’s degree in business administration, communications, journalism, public relations or relevant field
· A minimum of 6 years’ experience in a similar role
· Proven experience creating targeted content
· Extensive knowledge and network with media/journalists
· Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
· Must be able to multitask and work well under pressure
· Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
