Position: Engineer Design- Rotary Equipment
Location: Descon HQ-Lahore
Education: B.E Mechanical
Experience: 05 or plus Years of experience in Rotary Equipment design in a Design or EPC Company
Job Description:
Undertake design and engineering of rotary mechanical equipment and packaged equipment, such as;
Development of equipment data sheets and detailed specifications.
Sizing and selection of steam turbines, pumps, other rotating machines and packaged equipment e.g Boiler & Turbines Packages, Water Treatment and Chemical Dosage Packages etc.
Design and specification of interfaces.
Review of vendor documents and technical bid evaluations.
Candidates having the Maintenance experience of Rotary Equipment (Gas/ Steam Turbines, Compressors & Pumps) can also apply for the said position who want to excel their carrier in Engineering Design.

Position: Lead Design (HSE)
Education: B.E Chemical
Location: Descon Headquarters (Lahore)
Required Experience: 15 years plus experience in the oil & gas sector Design HSE & fire protection especially with Clients in Gulf KSA, UAE, etc.
The candidate should have experience of working on small to medium FEED and EPC/EPCM Brownfield projects in the Onshore Oil & Gas Sector as well as large size Greenfield projects.
Required Skills:
- Able to present Fire Protection and Safety Philosophy and Plans to client, discuss and get approval
Having excellent command on International Standards especially NFPA and Industrial Practices specially in Middle East - Effective communicator internally and externally both with Good technical writing skills
Job Description:
This Position will be leader of Design HSE Department which consists of Engineering HSE & Fire Protection Engineers.
- Its work involves producing design documents, such as fire protection system PFD, P&IDs, Fire Protection Layouts, Plant Equipment Spacing and separation, Emergency Escape Route, Fire Protection System Coverage Drawings, Firewater and Foam Systems, Hydraulic Calculations, Fire & Gas Detection Layouts, Fire & Gas Cause and effect preparation
- Develop Fire Protection Philosophies, Fire Protection Basis of design, Fire Protection system specification, Foam system Specification and Fireproofing requirements Schedule & Layout drawings and Fire & Safety Equipment Datasheets.
- Hazardous Area Classification Schedule and Layouts as per API and EI Standards
- Design Fire Protection (Active) systems such as Firewater mains, Firewater tanks, Firewater pumps, Deluge, Sprinklers System, Foam spray, Inline Balance pressure proportioning foam system, Gas Detection, and Fire Alarm System. Design Fire Suppression Systems such as FM-200, NOVEC1230, CO2, Aragonite, Dry Chemical Powder, and Inergen System.
- Furnishing Inherent safety activities and Coordinate Plot plan Safety Reviews.
- Preparation of Design HSE project Philosophy, Engineering HSE Plan
- Facilitating / Coordinating Safety Case involving COMAH/ Bowtie, ETA/FTA, for FEED, EPCC Project 13. Facilitating & Preparation of Project HSE Studies like PHA, HAZOP, SIL/LOPA, Physical Effect Modelling, QRA, FRA, FERA, SIMOPS and Constructability study reports.
- Preparing the Closeout Reports for all HSE studies and Activities and ensure study recommendations are implemented in Design.
- To plan for adequate resources and to monitor and report design progress and man-hour usage to the project management team.
