Descon Engineering is looking to hire “Manager Design & Application”
Location: Lahore (Head Office)
Job Description:
· Candidate should have some major specifications in extraction/validation of technical scope from Customer documentation/running applications related to software, hardware design and assembly & staging, FAT, SAT, etc.
· Have used appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs Proficient in Software Design considerations for specialized Applications related to System(s) amongst PCS/SIS/F&G/ SCADA/ Industrial Data Networks/Communication Systems/ etc.
· Have carried out/Supervised all activities related to Staging, Testing & FAT including development, compilation & presentation of Project/System specific FAT opening meeting document to the Client. Travel to project sites and customers’ offices as per business requirements and/or when advised by management.
Requirements:
· Proficiency in Hardware Designing & Implementation for Specialized Control Systems including DCS, SIS & FGS with expertise in Allen Bradley, Siemens, Yokogawa & Honeywell Systems.
· Have a Conceptual Understanding of Major Industrial Standards being followed Understands/is Able to gather required Information from Customer Specifications (including Functional Requirement Specifications, P&IDs, C&Es, Drawings, Narratives, Philosophies, etc.)
Education:
Bachelor’s/Master Degree in Engineering
Experience:
8 to 10 years’ of work experience in projects & engineering of Instrument & Control Systems

Detailed knowledge of project management principles and practices
Thorough knowledge of automation project requirements
Extensive strategic management know-how
Broad Financial Management acumen
Extensive industry knowledge & market dynamics
Strong business acumen and understanding of commercial aspects
Strong grip on operations management
Sound business planning and budgeting skills
Sound grip on Cost Management
Direct the proposal team & contract team for contract negotiations
Coordinate with BD team to finalize the Proposal strategy for significant proposals
Ensure timely submission of technically compliant and commercially competitive proposal to BD for onward submission to client.
Requirement:
B.E. Electrical/Instrumentation having up to 15 – 20 years of quality work experience of project management, EPC and Automation in a medium to large scale Engineering company.
