Beacon Impex is looking for a Deputy Manager / Manager – Merchandising (Knits Business) to manage assigned business accounts from product development and costing through order execution and shipment.
The role calls for strong customer coordination, commercial judgment, and command of knits merchandising, critical path management, and cross-functional execution. Candidates should bring 6–8 years of relevant merchandising experience in a reputable knitwear or garment manufacturing organization, along with a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
Role Summary
The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end management of assigned business accounts, from product development and costing to order execution and shipment. The role includes close coordination with customers and internal teams for costing, sampling, approvals, production planning, quality, and shipment execution. The incumbent will ensure timely order completion in line with customer requirements, quality standards, delivery timelines, and commercial objectives, while proactively resolving issues related to fabric, accessories, production, and approvals.
Essential Competencies
- Strong knowledge of knits merchandising, product development, garment manufacturing, costing, fabric/trim consumption, pricing, and commercial negotiations.
- Strong command of T&A/critical path management and end-to-end order execution, with the ability to manage multiple buyers, styles, and orders simultaneously.
- Effective cross-functional coordination with Production, Planning, Quality, Sourcing, Supply Chain, and other support functions to ensure timely approvals, production, quality, and delivery.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Textile, Apparel Manufacturing, Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain or related field.
- 6–8 years of relevant merchandising experience in a renowned knitwear, garments manufacturing organization.
