Job Description:

As an Intern in our Medical Billing QA Department, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in the field of medical billing and quality assurance. You will work closely with our seasoned billing and QA professionals, learning the ins and outs of the healthcare billing industry and contributing to the accuracy and compliance of our billing practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Billing Quality Review: Assist in reviewing medical claims and bills for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Documentation Verification: Verify the documentation supporting medical billing claims, ensuring that they align with the services billed.
Coding Accuracy: Learn and assist in verifying the accuracy of medical codes (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS) used in billing. - Audit Support: Collaborate with the QA team to participate in internal audits of billing processes.
- Quality Assurance Reporting: Document findings and discrepancies, and assist in generating QA reports.
- Compliance Adherence: Ensure that billing practices adhere to industry regulations and guidelines.
