Education: B.COM/M.COM/ICMA/CA/MBA Finance
Experience: 5 to 8 years experience in Finance and Proficiency in SAP B1 is a must, preferably in Food Retail Industry.
Skills & Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation, filing, and submission of all tax returns, including income tax, VAT/GST, and other relevant taxes.
- Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations, advising the organization on potential impacts.
- Respond to tax audits, inquiries, and assessments by tax authorities.
- Develop strategies to minimize tax controversies and resolve issues effectively.
- Establish and maintain internal controls to monitor ongoing tax compliance.
- Conduct periodic internal reviews to ensure adherence to tax policies and procedures.
- Work closely with legal, finance and commercial teams to assess the tax implications of contracts, transactions, and corporate structures.
- Conduct in-depth research on complex tax issues and provide recommendations to Head of Finance.
- Stay current on industry-specific tax trends and assess their potential impact on the organization.
- Work with relevant departments to maximize available tax benefits.
- Mentor junior staff and facilitate knowledge sharing within the department
- Serve as the primary point of contact for communication with tax authorities.
- Manage the preparation and submission of responses to tax inquiries and requests for information.
