Assistant Manager Quality Assurance
Education: Bachelor’s Food Science and Technology Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 Years (Experience in Retail will be preferred)
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible in the implementation and maintenance of QA programs and policies that ensure the safety and quality of food products.
- Monitor and evaluate product quality from suppliers, in-store operations, and customer feedback.
- Support in developing and updating SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for food handling goods receiving & storage practices.
- Conduct routine audits of stores to ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP).
- Work with store managers to identify and address any quality concerns.
- Prepare and maintain records of inspections, audits, and corrective actions taken.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure all incoming products meet required quality standards.
- Conduct supplier audits to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and sustainability standards.
- Assist in resolving quality issues with suppliers in coordination with the buying and supply chain teams.
- Ensure compliance with local and national food safety regulations and certifications.
- Stay updated on any changes in food safety regulations and standards, and communicate necessary changes to the team.
- Handle any food safety incidents, pest-related issues, investigations, or product recalls in coordination with commercial and Operations teams.
- Train store team on food safety, sanitation, and quality control procedures.
- Analyze quality performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Work with cross-functional teams (operations, supply chain, procurement) to implement process improvements.
- Suggest and help implement strategies for shrinkage reduction, sustainability, and improving product consistency.
