Job Role: Senior Grid Supervisor/Technician
Location: Karachi
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and testing of LV/MV/HV Switchgear equipment.
- Maintenance and testing of 132kV GIS and AIS equipment.
- Performing isolation and energization of LV/MV/HV (up to 132kV) equipment.
- Power transformer maintenance and testing.
- UPS, DC charger systems and Battery Banks maintenance and testing.
- MCC (Motor Control Centres) maintenance troubleshooting and testing.
- Troubleshooting of field electrical equipment of Power Generation Plant (Lighting circuits, motors etc.).
- Reading Electrical drawings and carryout troubleshooting.
- Manage resources for PM and CM activities during normal operation and annual turnaround.
- Conduct activities in accordance with best HS&E practices.
- Conduct and plan routine maintenance activities of the Grid, substation, and building electrical equipment.
Technical Competencies:
- Knowledge of SCADA and Grid Operations.
- In depth knowledge of Grid bus bar schemes and their protections.
- Knowledge of Protection Relays and their functions (MICOM/ ABB Relays).
- Good understanding of Electrical concepts especially earthing of electrical equipment.
- Good communication and reporting skill.
Job Specification (Qualification/Experience):
Education: DAE or equivalent.
Experience: At least 10 years of experience working on 132kV Grid and Power Generation Plant.
