We are looking to hire an IT support engineer in our Head office in Karachi and regional Office in Islamabad to assist our staff with all IT-related technical support issues. As an IT support engineer, diagnose hardware or software issues, provide effective assistance, and maintain strong staff relationships. You may also be required to install new software applications and train clients on proper application use.
To ensure success as an IT support engineer, you should have in-depth knowledge of business software and hardware systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and high-level interpersonal skills. Ultimately, a top-class IT support engineer resolves all IT issues quickly and effectively while maintaining a good relationship with the client.
IT Support Engineer Job Description:
1-Responding to technical support calls from end users of computers and software applications
2-Setting up and installing new computers, networks, and software
setting up user accounts and profiles on the network
3-Installing updates, known as patches, to software applications
installing and configuring operating systems, anti-virus software, and other applications such as Microsoft Office
4-Diagnosing and fixing network problems and hardware or software faults
5-Maintaining inventories of hardware and software
managing backups of servers, in case of data loss
6-Keeping a record of issues and faults along with solutions, for future reference.
IT Support Engineer Requirements:
1-Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science.
2-Proven work experience as a technical support engineer.
3-Knowledge of web services, API, and IP-based protocols.
4-Knowledge of computer hardware and networking systems.
5-Good time management skills.
6-Good interpersonal skills.
7-Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues.
8-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
09-Ability to think critically.
