Responsibilities:
- To assist the Head Master/ Mistress or substitute in the absence of the Head in the day-to-day running of the school.
- The role involves supporting the headmaster/ headmistress in creating morale and confidence among the teaching staff.
- To provide support to the Head Master/ Head Mistress in managing the branch/section, with special emphasis on all academic and administrative concerns related to teaching and learning.
- To conduct teacher evaluation by means of class observations, copy-checking, and other evaluative procedures. Provide them guidance where required/
- Keep up to date with curriculum developments and ensure that all members of staff are aware of new initiatives and how they are going to be implemented. Provide support to them.
- Maintain the soft board of the school.
- Arrange appointments with parents of weak students.
- Assist the Head in preparing timetables.
- To arrange meetings and maintain minutes of meetings.
- Planning and organizing extracurricular activities.
- To prepare for Midyear and Annual Exams.
- Calculation and checking of remarks on duplicate reports.
- Assist in syllabus break-up and monitoring.
- Coordination of course coverage.
- Substitute for absent teachers and maintain substitution logbook.
- Provide feedback to the Head regarding students and stall to ensure smooth communication.
- Carry out regular assessments of students’ performance and analysis of data.
