Responsibilities:
- Embrace and encourage the ethos and standards of excellence as defined in The City School’s handbook
- Facilitate the development and evaluation of a quality music curriculum
- Ensure that the curriculum is based on clearly defined standards for learning
- Analyse and disaggregate assessment data to examine the effectiveness of the curriculum in addressing the learning needs of all students
- Develop resources to support the curriculum.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate instructional programmes with principals and designated in-school music leaders, including learning objectives, instructional strategies, and assessment techniques
- Ensure the use of technology and 21st-century skills in the teaching-learning process
- Plan the necessary time, resources, and materials to support the accomplishment of educational goals
- Ensure Standardization and care of music resources in schools.
- Participate in the regional-level decision-making process to establish and review goals and objectives and major classroom instructional programmes of The City School
- Participate in developing and revising gifted and talented curriculum as well as SEN when asked to, and in providing gifted and talented students with alternative course work through curriculum modification, acceleration, etc.
- Compile, maintain, and present all reports, records, and other documents required
- Assist with the selection and purchase of supplemental equipment and supplies for the programme.
- Provide two-way communication with principals, teachers, and other curriculum leaders and coordinators
- Planning, organizing and supporting the regional office with events and competitions
