Role: Team Lead Checkout
Education: Metric / Intermediate
Experience: Minimum 2 to 3 Years of Hands on Experience in Food Retail specifically in leading Checkout Department
Skills:
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, helpful service.
- Operate the cash register and point-of-sale (POS) system to process transactions accurately.
- Scan items, ensure correct pricing, and handle various payment methods (cash, credit/debit cards, vouchers).
- Bag and package purchases carefully to prevent damage.
- Answer customer questions regarding store policies, promotions, and product locations.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues in a professional manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including restocking necessary supplies.
- Balance the cash register at the end of each shift and report any discrepancies.
- Assist with returns and exchanges as needed.
- Promote store loyalty programs and special offers to customers.
