JOB SUMMARY: The Director Engineering will be responsible for overseeing all engineering and maintenance activities to ensure the highest standards of airworthiness, safety, and regulatory compliance. This role requires a strategic leader with extensive experience in aircraft maintenance, engineering operations, and aviation regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop & implement engineering strategies to ensure operational efficiency & regulatory compliance.
- Oversee aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul activities to ensure timely and cost-effective serviceability.
- Ensure adherence to Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), IATA, and international safety regulations.
- Lead and manage engineering teams, including maintenance, quality assurance, and technical services personnel.
- Optimize aircraft reliability and performance through effective maintenance planning and technical innovations.
- Develop and enforce safety policies & procedures in line with industry best practices.
- Manage budgets and cost control measures to maximize operational efficiency.
- Ensure proper training and skill development programs for engineering & maintenance personnel.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Extensive knowledge of aircraft maintenance procedures, safety regulations, and quality assurance.
- Strong familiarity with CAA, EASA, FAA, and IATA regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Expertise in fleet management and aircraft life cycle planning.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:
- Master’s degree (minimum 18 years of education) in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 10-15 years of relevant experience in aviation engineering.
