Job Title: Textile Designer
Location: Karachi
Role Overview
Creates, develops, and produces patterns, structures, and textures for woven, knitted, or printed fabrics used in fashion, home decor, and industrial applications.
Responsibilities
- Design & Print Creation: Developing, printing, or weaving patterns for garments, wallpapers, and home textiles.
- Technical Proficiency: Using CAD tools (Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator) for digital printing, creating seamless repeats, and understanding colorways.
- Material Knowledge: Understanding fibres, yarn, fabric construction (woven, knit, non-woven), and finishes.
- Product Development: Moving from trend research and mood boards to final, production-ready artwork.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion.
- Experience: 2–3 years of Textile Designing, preferably in Textile Fashion Industries.
- MTO Option: Fresh graduates with 2 months of internship experience can also be preferred for the Management Trainee Officer (MTO) role.
Skills & Competencies
- Using CAD tools (Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator).
- Focus on eco-friendly and biodegradable materials.
- Increased use of 3D technology and digital printing for rapid, personalized design and production.
