WE ARE HIRING Application Engineer – BESS
We are looking for an Application Engineer – Electrical Systems to support BESS projects, with a focus on BESS design and sizing, including electrical infrastructure design, equipment specification, and vendor coordination. This role will involve technical support across design, procurement, and site implementation, ensuring seamless project execution and system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform BESS system sizing, load assessment, and design optimization based on customer requirements and site data.
- Specify and evaluate equipment such as transformers, switchgear, cables, RMUs, and auxiliary panels.
- Conduct vendor evaluation, manage RFQs/RFPs, and coordinate procurement activities.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including BOQs, PDI reports, cable schedules, and design reports.
- Support performance test evaluations, ensuring systems meet design and operational benchmarks.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary departments (design, procurement, project execution, site teams) to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Provide technical support during project execution phases, including installation, post-delivery inspection (PDI), and commissioning.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 1-2 years of experience in electrical project engineering, preferably in energy, power systems, or infrastructure sectors.
- Understanding of BESS design, sizing, and electrical system integration in renewable is a plus.
- Familiarity with electrical design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP) and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, datasheets, and system layouts.
- Exposure to QA/QC protocols, technical support documentation, and performance testing procedures.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
