We are actively seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our team at NayaPay
Responsibilities:
- Your responsibilities will include the preparation of timely, accurate monthly management accounts and other appropriate financial information to present to the senior management and later to the Board of Directors.
- You will be a leader in the Finance team and take responsibility for the financial control of commercial operations within the business by managing the day-to-day activities. You may also be required to work closely with various other key stakeholders of the senior management team on ad hoc projects.
- You will prepare presentations on financial and business matters that provide thoughtful analysis, identify action items, and effectively frame decisions that need to be made.
Qualifications:
- Must be a fully qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA) with a minimum of five years of experience in a managerial position within a financial institution handling financial control functions.
- Strong focus on controls and processes with superior attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture.
- Experience with the implementation of ERP would be preferred but not mandatory.
- Up-to-date technical skills and knowledge regarding local corporate and tax laws as well as International Financial Reporting Standards.
- The ability to work closely with external stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for engaging with business partners and ensuring processes are being followed.
- Strong people manager who can work on developing team skills.
- Confidence to challenge senior opinions and maintain positive working relationships.
