Job Title: Head of Internal Audit
Location: Head Office, Lahore.
Job Purpose:
The Head of Internal Audit is responsible for establishing and leading a robust, risk-based internal audit function across all business operations. This role ensures that governance, risk management, and internal controls are operating effectively and efficiently. The position provides independent assurance to the Audit Committee and supports the senior management in achieving business objectives with integrity and transparency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive, risk-based annual audit plan in alignment with the company’s strategic objectives, subject to Audit Committee approval.
- Provide independent evaluations and assurance on the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and internal control systems.
- Present clear, concise, and insightful audit reports to the Audit Committee, including actionable recommendations and follow-up plans.
- Lead or oversee special audits, fraud investigations, and other assignments as directed by the Audit Committee or senior management.
- Ensure all audit activities are conducted in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, corporate policies, and industry best practices.
- Continuously improve internal audit methodologies and practices to reflect changes in the business environment and risk profile.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to foster a culture of accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Professionally qualified: ACA, ACMA, or ACCA.
- Minimum 5–8 years of progressive experience in internal audit, risk management, or compliance.
- Prior experience in FMCG or Manufacturing sectors preferred.
- In-depth understanding of risk-based audit methodologies and frameworks.
- High standards of ethics, integrity, and professional independence.
- Strong analytical, data interpretation, and report-writing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to lead audit teams and manage cross-functional collaborations.
- Proficient in ERP/SAP systems and data analytics tools.
