HUM Network is looking for candidates to fill the following vacancy.
Position: Sr. System Support Engineer-Broadcast
Department: Technical Department
Reports to: Sr. Manager Technical
Job Location: Islamabad, Pakistan
Responsibilities:
First-line Support: Act as the primary contact for technical issues within the broadcast engineering team.
IT Infrastructure Understanding: Demonstrate knowledge of broadcast-related IT infrastructure, including network switches, video routers, video multiplexer / demultiplexer / amplifier and KVM.
Maintenance and Upgrades: Maintain, support, and upgrade broadcast and IT environments throughout the station.
Production Support: Provide technical assistance to production teams during live broadcasts or recordings.
Mac-Based NLE Systems: Understand the capabilities of Mac-based non-linear editing (NLE) systems and able to install and configure relevant applications.
PC and Server Systems: Understand PC and server-based systems, as well as IT-based broadcast systems and their operation and maintenance.
MOS Workflow: Have a grasp of MOS-based workflows for newsroom systems.
Character Generator Systems: Understand the functionality and operation of character generator systems.
Virtual Production Systems: Understand the principles and operations of virtual production systems, including tracking systems, and real-time rendering engines.
Operating Systems: Be familiar with various operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot and repair computer hardware, software, and peripherals, including network servers and storage systems.
Documentation: Create and maintain wiring documentation and system configuration documentation.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in the broadcast television industry.
Broadcast Infrastructure: Knowledge of broadcast infrastructure and understanding of broadcast system installation requirements.
Production and Post-Production: Familiarity with production and post-production equipment, including studio cameras, ENG cameras, non-linear editing, and audio/vision mixing.
Technical Drawings: Ability to interpret and understand complex technical drawings and reports.
