At Gharibwal Cement we are looking for: Deputy Manager/Senior Deputy Manager – Industrial Relations (IR)
Positions: 1
Qualification: LLB/LLM (Degree in Business/Public Administration would be an added advantage).
Experience: 7-10 years of relevant professional experience in labor relations, HR compliance, or labor litigation in Pakistan.
Prior experience of working with industrial organizations in unionized environments is highly desirable
Key Responsibilities
- Manage labor relations by addressing employee grievances, conducting inquiries, and facilitating conflict resolution in accordance with Pakistani labor laws.
- Represent the organization in labor courts and tribunals, prepare legal documentation, and coordinate with external counsel where required.
- Ensure statutory compliance with all applicable labor legislation, including social security, EOBI, minimum wage laws etc
Required Expertise/Skill set & Background
- In-depth knowledge of Pakistan’s labor laws, including the Industrial Relations Act, Shops & Establishments Ordinance, Factories Act, Social Security and EOBI regulations.
- Hands-on experience in labor court litigation, drafting pleadings, preparing case files, and managing arbitration/conciliation proceedings.
- Proven expertise in industrial relations, union handling, collective bargaining, misconduct inquiries, and disciplinary procedures.
- Strong background of labor compliance, workplace investigations, dispute management, and ensuring regulatory adherence.
- Demonstrated ability to liaise with governmental departments such as Labor Department, Social Security, and EOBI.
- Strong communication, legal drafting, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
