Job Role: Plant Operator
Location: Karachi
Job Responsibilities:
1. Oversee operations of cooling towers, coal fired boilers, air compressors and steam turbines to ensure proper functioning.
2. Operate field equipment in accordance with operating and approved procedures.
3. Monitor and log all operating parameters ensuring that all irregularities are reported immediately for resolution.
4. Suggest process improvements or modifications that could enhance efficiency or safety.
5. Handle plant emergencies independently as per standard operating procedures.
6. Prepare field equipment for maintenance activities.
Competencies:
1. Have sound knowledge of PTW systems and LOTO protocols.
2. Knowledge of industry safety regulations and operating practices.
3. Ability to work in rotating shifts, weekends and holidays.
4. Have a positive attitude and work well both in a team and independently.
5. Able to motivate others.
Job Specification (Qualification/Experience):
Education: DAE or equivalent.
Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience.
