JOB SUMMARY: A Nursing Instructor will be responsible for providing high-quality education to Nursing students in both theoretical and clinical settings. The instructor will create a supportive learning environment that fosters the development of students’ clinical skills, nursing knowledge, and professionalism. He/she should have a passion for teaching, a commitment to student success, and experience in nursing practice.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Delivering lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on practice in nursing courses.
- Collaborates with faculty to review, evaluate, and recommend clinical curriculum changes to the Manager of Nursing.
- Reviews and tracks student files for completeness and compliance with state board of Nursing and clinical agency requirements. Â
- Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with hospital management staff.
- Assists the Manager Nursing programs in resolving student clinical issues.
- Develops and maintains the student skills list to ensure consistency with lab procedures appropriate to the student’s scope of practice and in alignment with clinical agency protocols.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES:
- Strong foundation in clinical nursing practice, healthcare procedures, and patient care.
- Ability to effectively teach and communicate nursing concepts to students using diverse learning techniques.
- Knowledge of educational theories, teaching methods, and best practices in nursing education.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A deep commitment to student success, ethical standards, and professional development.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Diploma in General Nursing / BSCN / Post RN BSCN / Diploma in Midwifery
- Experience: 4 to 5 years of relevant experience
- License: Valid PNC License
