Chief Medical Physicist & Radiation Protection Officer
LOCATION: DR. ZIAUDDIN HOSPITAL, HEAD OFFICE NORTH NAZIMABAD CAMPUS
JOB SUMMARY:
- Leadership role for physics and institution-wide Radiation protection.
- Communication with oncology management/vendor regarding Teletherapy units.
- Communication with government authorities (RNRA) regarding radiation protection.
- Oversee radiotherapy treatment planning on TPS, dose calculation.
- Oversee quality assurance, PPMS, calibration and commissioning of teletherapy units.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communicate with management for administrative issues in physics and radiation protection.
- Participate in clinical research for development and implementation of new techniques.
- Ensure equipment is safe, effective and working properly.
- Provide consultancy for radiation protection in department/hospital.
- Study and implement new treatment techniques of radiotherapy.
- Teach and train future medical physicists, residents and medical students.
- Implement international clinical protocol for Medical Physicist.
- Oversee the design of new radiation of new radiation facilities.
- Coordinate with government institution regarding licensing of hospital facilities, PNRA inspection etc.
- Oversee internal and external inspection of radiation protection of facility periodically and maintain log.
REQUIREMENTS:
Academic Qualification: M.Sc (Physics)/ MS (Medical Physics) or PhD in Physics with having certificate in Medical Physicist/Board Certified Physicist.
Experience: More than 20 years of experience in similar field including 5 years on same role.
KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES:
- Should have excellent knowledge of radiotherapy and radiation protection.
- Well verse with the software of Radiotherapy planning.
- Should have excellent knowledge of medical sciences.
- Should have good knowledge of radiotherapy machines functionality.
- Good knowledge of quality assurance in radiotherapy and radiation protection (JCIA, ISO)
