We are looking to add a member to our Product Development team who is an has an exceptionally good aesthetic sense and loves creativity. A good fit for this role would be ideally someone who has the ability to play a pivotal role in elevating the business to create a benchmark amongst best industry practices.
The major areas of focus and expertise for an ideal candidate are:
- Work with the Product Design leadership to drive development of trend-right, consumer centric product lines that feature best-in-class innovation and excellent price/value for the customer
- Support manufacturing and design activities by developing prototypes for products in development.
- Prepare seasonal & customised collections, patterns, mood boards, trims etc.
- Responsible for planning and execution of the end-to-end design operations
- Develop and design market focused multi-product across all current ranges which may include women’s and men’s denim, corduroy, moleskin and flats in line with both our and customer aesthetic
- Assure that quality standards are met in all aspects from the process initiation till dispatch
- Support with the development of website uploading promotional material
Must Haves - Passionate about denim, washes, designs and market research
- Ability to design with a strong awareness of price architecture, margins, and market pricing
- A strong understanding of the current high street trends and the ability to look forward and anticipate new trends
- Ability to communicate and work across in an environment with global exposure
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal both)
- Good multitasking, analytical, interpersonal and pressure handling skills and has an ability to drive processes through innovation and ownership.
- Has at least 5 to 8 years of relevant (of working in the PD Design team) experience in a textile manufacturing concern
Qualification Requirements: Bachelors/Masters in Textile Engineering or an equivalent qualification
