We are looking to add a member to our Chemical Store team who is an expert in leading all kind of operational activities of the store in a textile manufacturing concern. A good fit for this role would be ideally someone who has the ability to play a pivotal role in elevating the business to create a benchmark amongst best industry practices.
The major areas of focus and expertise for an ideal candidate are:
- Thoroughly review and verify all purchase requisitions, including those for PC challans in the SBS system, as well as those from local purchase indent manuals. Once verified, forward them for approval.
- Carefully review and inspect all GRN arrivals and associated test reports. Subsequently, forward them to the department head for their review and approval or rejection as required.
- Create new item codes in SAP when there is a first-time demand for a particular item.
- To proceed with approval, print out the P.O and include it with the hard copy of the test report. But Incase the test report indicates a failure, return the item to the party through gate pass.
- Prepare purchase orders for imported parts, dyes, and chemicals, ensuring that cost sheets have been obtained from the Head Office prior to initiating the purchase order process.
- Enter issue indents categorized by department and machine into the SAP system and generate daily consumption reports and share them with the relevant authority.
- Examine and authorize all gate passes, including those for permanent and returnable items.
- Manage the inventory of Denim Division’s store and prepare monthly purchase requisitions categorized by department.
- Before distributing the GRN in SAP, verify the unit price of each item by comparing it with the last recorded price.
- Manage all store-related matters through phone and email, while coordinating with the Head Office as needed.
- Good collaboration, decision-making, multitasking, analytical, interpersonal and pressure handling skills and has an ability to drive processes through innovation and ownership.
- Has at least 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in store operations of a denim/textile manufacturing concern.
Qualification Requirements: Bachelors/Masters degree Business Administration, Supply chain Management, logistics or an equivalent qualification.
