Job Scope: Lead and assist on Tax related matters. Liaison with relevant authorities for all Tax related matters.
Education: MBA -Finance/ACCA/CA, (LLB preferred)
Experience: Tax related 4-5 years
Job Description:
• Preparation and submission of monthly Federal & Provincial sales tax returns
• Preparation of reconciliations related to monthly sales tax return and withholding statements with financials.
• Responsible to Comply day-by-day sales tax withholding rules under sales tax special procedure rules, 2007 and income tax withholding under various sections of Income tax ordinance 2001.
• Preparation of details and summaries to comply with the notice of income tax audit of income tax ordinance 2001 and sales tax audit of various regulators.
• Preparation of details and summaries to comply with notices of income tax withholding audits u/s 161/205. of income tax ordinance 2001
• Liaison and discussions with FBR authorities from time to time on routine matters.
• Review payments and submissions of monthly/quarterly/annual withholding statements u/s 165 and 149 of Income Tax Ordinance, 2001
• Collection, compilation, and submitting of data to the e- portal for application for issuance of exemption certificates under various sections
• Computation of advance tax liability u/s 147 of Income Tax Ordinance 2001.
• Preparation of income tax withholding certificates under rule 44 of income tax ordinance 2001 for suppliers and service providers
• Collect relevant information & documents for the computation of taxable income and tax liability for preparation and submission of Company annual income tax return.
• Compilation of information to comply with notices issued under various sections of Sales Tax Act 1990 & Income Tax Ordinance, 2001
• Assisting the department head in preparation and presentation of details, reports & summaries required to comply with the notice of amended assessment u/s 122(5) & 122(5A) of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001.
• Give opinion to other departments regarding the applicability of legal provisions and rules.
• Coordinate outsourced tax preparation work.
• Coordination with internal auditors on tax audits
• Visit Govt. department (Large Tax Unit/Corporate Tax Office) for different day-to-day issues.
