Amreli Steels Limited Jobs Assistant Engineer:

Amreli Steels Limited is looking for energetic resource for our Mechanical Maintenance department at our Shershah Plant.

Qualification: BE – Mechanical
Location : Shershah Road, SITE, Karachi.
Experience : 1- 3 years

Peruse the Utility/ Crane log book and discuss the breakdowns (if occurred) in previous shift with concern supervisor, visit the area and rectify the root cause of breakdown.
Carry out water analysis .
Carry out cranes inspection as per schedule
As a routine, take a round from compressor, pumps, cranes up to billet shear, stay for a while at each area, and observe the operation, note down the observation concerning its condition.
To discuss daily progress including maintenance cost/delay & pending work with DM maintenance
To check out all required spare parts are available in the store; otherwise make indent for required material and tools. Follow-up the indent and verify the bills.
To plan & schedule the preventive maintenance on shutdown period with DM maintenance
To verify that the stand by pumps/compressors are in working condition.
To visit the cooling tower area with supervisor, to ensure that the cooling tower operation & water levels are OK.
Discuss proactive action and impending problem/breakdown with DM/ supervisors. Update their “jobs to do list”
To ensure that reading from compressor panel are being noted properly by /supervisor operator in log book
To control cost of maintenance by controlling spares, consumable & accessories, this can be done by proper planning and creating cost conscience among the worker.
Practice Housekeeping, as it will avoid any accidents e.g greased cotton rag could result in slippage/ accident if not properly dispose off.
Ensure greasing is carried out as per schedule.
To verify the Preventive Maintenance (PM) cards of the equipment for daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly basis. Verify the history cards
To carry out troubleshooting and maintenance jobs.
