We’re Hiring: Microsoft Power BI Developer
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research to develop seasonal themes and trends for upcoming collections.
- Design, develop, and deploy Power BI dashboards and reports that are visually appealing, user-friendly, and provide actionable insights.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and requirements.
- Connect, import, and transform data from multiple data sources mainly MS Dynamics 365 to create efficient Power BI data models.
- Implement data security within Power BI, including row-level security, user roles, and data sharing.
- Develop DAX formulas for calculated columns and measures to meet complex reporting requirements.
- Optimize Power BI data models and visualizations for performance.
- Maintain and improve existing reports and dashboards by implementing changes based on feedback.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure accurate data flow from data sources to Power BI.
- Train end-users and stakeholders on how to utilize dashboards effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience with Power BI development, including report creation, data modelling, and DAX formulas.
- Working knowledge of Power BI, SSAS, SSRS, and SSIS components of the Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack
- Strong understanding of Power Query, data warehousing, data gateway concepts, and ETL processes.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Ability to work with complex datasets and perform data cleansing, transformation, and blending.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure (Data Lake, SQL Database, Data Factory) is a plus.
- Knowledge of best practices in data visualization and dashboard design.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker studio (google data studio)) is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Python or R for data manipulation and advanced analytics.
- Understanding of Agile project management methodologies.
- Certification in Microsoft Power BI or other relevant certifications is a plus.
