Role expectations:
- Work independently or as part of a team in providing architectural work and support. This includes all phases of the architectural process – from project inception to schematic design, design development, construction drawings, and construction.
- Independently develop architectural drawings and documentation, including plans, sections, elevations, and schedules.
- Create 3D renderings and devise multiple options and cost breakdowns for future projects.
- Support management and marketing in the creation of graphics for office as well as commercial use.
- Conduct site visits and coordinate with contractors, consultants, and manufacturers as necessary.
- Learn new software when required by the organization.
- Be proactive in developing new skills and incorporating them into the work.
- Handle other responsibilities as needed.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a design firm.
- A portfolio of 3-5 work samples. Must include academic as well as professional projects. Please identify where work was produced as part of a group.
- Proficiency in the following software:
- 2D drafting (AutoCAD)
- 3D modeling (Rhino or SketchUp or Revit)
- 3D rendering (V-Ray or 3ds max or Lumion or Enscape)
- Adobe suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- A strong artistic sense and an interest in design work.
