JOB OPPORTUNITIES: Heavy Mechanical Complex invites applications for the following positions on contract basis:-

Post: Dy. Gen. Manager (Supply Chain Management)

Qualification & Experience:

• BE/BSc Engineering with minimum 12 years relevant post qualification experience in SCM / procurement department of large scale manufacturing industry
• Preference will be given to candidates with hands-on experience in dealing with import agencies, as well as local and foreign vendors for SCM-related matters.
• Must be proficient in PPRA rules, imports and vendor management of Steel Manufacturing / Foundry, FMCG, EPC related procurement.

Post: Manager (Contracts)

Qualification & Experience:

• BE/BSc Engineering with minimum 10 years of relevant post-qualification experience in Contract Management, Commercial Administration, Contractual Compliance and Risk Management & Claim activities.
• Candidates having hands-on experience in industrial/manufacturing contracts, project contracts, claims, variations, commercial negotiations, and contract administration will be preferred.
• Strong understanding of contractual terms, commercial practices, risk management, claims management, and contract lifecycle management.

Post: Manager (Project Planning & Scheduling)

Qualification & Experience:

• BE/BSc Engineering with minimum 10 years of relevant post-qualification experience in Heavy Engineering, Fabrication, Manufacturing, EPC, Industrial Projects, or Project Planning & Controls.
• Candidates having hands-on experience in Primavera P6, project scheduling, fabrication planning, production control, resource planning, progress monitoring, and project controls will be preferred.
• Strong knowledge of WBS, baseline development, critical path analysis, resource-loaded scheduling, S-curves, manpower/resource histograms, delay analysis, recovery planning, and schedule risk management.

Post: Manager (Proposals & Estimation)

Qualification & Experience:

• BE/BSc Engineering with minimum 10 years of relevant post-qualification experience in technical and commercial proposal preparation, cost estimation, tender evaluation, pricing, BOQ analysis, contract review, and commercial negotiations.
• Strong understanding of project costing, estimation methodologies, pricing strategies, contractual terms, commercial risk assessment, and profitability analysis.
• Sound knowledge of engineering drawings, specifications, BOQs, material take-offs, fabrication/manufacturing processes, procurement, and project execution requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project, and other estimation, costing, planning, and analytical tools.

Post: Manager (Sales & Marketing)

Qualification & Experience:

• BE/BSc Engineering with minimum 10 years of relevant post-qualification experience, preferably in sales, marketing, business development or commercial functions within an engineering, manufacturing, industrial or project-based organization.
• Candidates having experience in industrial sales, EPC/project business, engineering products, heavy machinery, energy, Oil & Gas, cement, sugar or infrastructure sectors will be preferred.
• Strong understanding of B2B sales, business development, market intelligence, contract/commercial evaluation and customer relationship management is essential.

JOB OPPORTUNITIES: Heavy Mechanical Complex is inviting applicants against following vacancies for a newly established R&D lab & collaboration center located in Islamabad: –

1. Senior Manager Automation & Control (1x pos)

• Education: Minimum Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in relevant field from a recognized university. Engineering background shall be preferred
• Experience: Minimum 9 years of relevant experience
• Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead automation, instrumentation, and control engineering activities for industrial plants & projects.
  • Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC, DCS, SCADA, HMI, VFDs, and control systems.
  • Manage instrumentation selection, installation, calibration, testing, and commissioning.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams, clients, contractors, and vendors for project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and drive system reliability, & automation improvements.

2. Senior CAD Designer (1x pos)

• Education: DAE Mechanical or BSc Technology from a recognized university.
• Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant experience
• Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and review 2D manufacturing drawings and 3D CAD models for mechanical components, assemblies, and equipment.
  • Ensure designs meet GD&T, dimensional, material, tolerance, manufacturability, & engineering standards.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, and Assembly teams to resolve design issues and implement changes.
  • Maintain CAD data, BOMs, revisions, and documentation, while supporting manufacturing, assembly, testing, and mentoring junior designers.

3. Process Engineer (1x pos)

• Education: Minimum Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in relevant field from a recognized university. Chemical Engineering background shall be preferred
• Experience: Minimum 6 years of relevant experience
• Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead plant process design and engineering, including process development, optimization, equipment selection, and sizing.
  • Develop and review H&MB, process simulations, PFDs, P&IDs, equipment datasheets, and design specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with ASME, API, ISO, NFPA, and relevant safety and industry standards.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams, clients, consultants, EPC contractors, and vendors through procurement, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

4. Mechanical Design Engineer (1x pos)

• Education: Minimum Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in relevant field from a recognized university. PEC-registered Engineer shall be preferred
• Experience: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
• Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop mechanical designs and 3D CAD models for equipment, machinery, components, & assemblies.
  • Apply engineering standards, GD&T, tolerances, material selection, & manufacturability requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain BOMs, engineering drawings, specifications, & revision-controlled documentation.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, and Assembly teams to support fabrication, testing, and commissioning.

5. Principal Mechanical Design Engineer (1x pos)

• Education: Minimum Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in relevant field from a recognized university. PEC-registered Mechanical Engineer shall be preferred
• Experience: Minimum 15 years of relevant experience
• Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead mechanical design for heavy equipment and machinery.
  • Review/approve designs, calculations, & specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with ASME, API, ASTM, ISO and project standards. Coordinate with engineering teams, clients, vendors and contractors.
  • Lead the mechanical team and ensure quality of deliverables.
