POSITIONS VACANT: Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Limited is seeking suitable candidates for appointment to the following positions on a contract basis.
1. Movement Control Officer / Pilot
No. of Posts: 01
Qualification / Experience:
- Graduation / DAE / Intermediate or equivalent.
- At least 08 – 10 years of experience for Graduate & 10 – 15 years for DAE / Intermediate in Tugging, Dry movement of vessels alongside berths / jetties, Horizontal movement of vessels to and from Docks, Towing & Mooring of vessels.
- MMD Certified candidates will be given preference.
- Age: Up to 55 years.
2. Supervisor (Berth)
No. of Posts: 01
Qualification / Experience:
- B.Tech / DAE (Mechanical) or equivalent from recognized institution.
- Minimum 05 years’ of experience in Dimension Control/Surveying, preferably in shipbuilding or heavy structural fabrication.
- Sound practical knowledge and hands-on experience in Total Station Operation, dimensional measurement, alignment, positioning and inspection of large structural assemblies.
- Candidates having relevant experience in shipbuilding/ship structure fabrication will be preferred.
- Age: Up to 45 years.
3. Technical Assistant
No. of Posts: 07
Qualification / Experience:
- DAE (Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial) or equivalent from recognized institution.
- Minimum 03 years’ experience in shipbuilding / heavy engineering / manufacturing industry.
- Experience in preparation of indents (Purchase Requisitions), part creation and part list preparation in ERP/IFS systems.
- Candidates having ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications with good knowledge of MS Office and ERP / IFS applications will be preferred.
- Age: Up to 45 years.
4. Office Assistant
No. of Posts: 01
Qualification / Experience:
- Graduation from HEC – recognized university.
- At least 03 years of experience in office administration, record keeping and correspondence.
- Candidates having knowledge of filing systems, document management and office procedures with proficient in MS Office and ERP / IFS applications will be preferred.
- Age: Up to 45 years.
5. General Fitter
No. of Posts: 01
Qualification / Experience:
- Middle / Matric.
- Minimum 02 – 03 years’ experience in relevant field.
- Candidates having relevant trade course will be preferred.
- Age: Up to 45 years.
