VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT: Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation (PMDC) is a state-owned enterprise under Ministry of Energy, Petroleum Division, Government of Pakistan. PMDC is responsible for the exploration, mining and marketing of various minerals.

PMDC invites applications for the following post on open contract/permanent basis.

Position: Associate (Electrical) – 01 Post

Qualification: Minimum B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical from a HEC recognized institution.

Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of relevant post-qualification experience in electrical operation, maintenance and troubleshooting, preferably at mining, industrial or heavy engineering sites.

Age: Maximum 47 years on the last date of application submission. Age relaxation shall be admissible as per applicable rules.

Preference: Candidates having domicile of Baluchistan will be preferred.

Place of Posting: PMDC Project / Mining Site, Balochistan

Key Job Responsibilities:

i. Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment, machinery and installations at mining/project sites. ii. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults and breakdowns to minimize equipment downtime and ensure continuity of operations. iii. Inspect, repair and maintain motors, control panels, power distribution systems, switchgear and other electrical installations. iv. Assist in installation, testing and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems, as required. v. Carry out routine inspections and scheduled maintenance and maintain proper records of electrical maintenance activities. vi. Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures, HSE requirements and applicable standards. vii. Provide day-to-day electrical support for smooth and uninterrupted mining/project operations.

Qualification: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Business, Commerce, Economics, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of Post qualification relevant experience in sales, marketing, export promotion, international business development, preferably in salt, minerals, food products, FMCG, or commodities.

Age: 35 Years on the last date of application submission

Key job Responsibilities:

i. Identify and develop new customers, distributors, dealers, importers, exporters, retailers, and institutional buyers. ii. Identify and develop new domestic and international markets by leveraging market intelligence, data analytics, and Business Intelligence (BI) tools to generate qualified sales leads and identify new business opportunities. iii. Promote PMDC salt products through digital marketing, social media, B2B platforms, exhibitions, trade fairs, business meetings, and other promotional channels. iv. Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers and ensure effective follow-up of inquiries and leads. v. Prepare quotations, commercial offers, product presentations, samples, and other marketing materials in coordination with relevant departments. vi. Explore opportunities for bulk, retail, food-grade, industrial, value-added, and private-label salt products in local and export markets. vii. Assist in export-related activities, including coordination of documentation, shipment arrangements, payment terms, and other commercial requirements. viii. Support management in preparation and achievement of local and export sales targets and annual marketing plans. ix. Perform any other duties related to sales, marketing, export promotion, and business development assigned by the management.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience in electrical/mechanical operation, maintenance and troubleshooting, preferably at mining, industrial or heavy engineering sites.

Age: Maximum 40 years on the last date of application submission. Age relaxation shall be admissible as per applicable rules.

Preference: Candidates having domicile of Balochistan will be preferred.

Place of Posting: PMDC Project / Mining Site, Balochistan

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment and project facilities. • Ensure equipment availability, timely troubleshooting and minimum operational downtime in coordination with production and mine engineering teams. • Prepare and monitor maintenance schedules, inspections, records and reports, and supervise maintenance staff and contractors. • Conduct root cause analysis, identify process and cost improvements, and ensure compliance with safety requirements and approved SOPs.
