ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE HIRING OF SCHOOL TEACHING INTERNS (STIs) FOR SPECIAL EDUCATION INSTITUTION, DISTRICT BAHAWALNAGAR
In pursuance of Notification No. SO(Estt)3-26/07(3859) dated 25-03-2026 issued by the Government of the Punjab, Special Education Department, applications are invited from suitable candidates for the hiring of School Teaching Interns (STIs) against vacant teaching posts in the Special Education Institution of District Bahawalnagar.

- Academic Qualification: M.A or BS (first division or grade-B) in special Education with specialization in the field of physically disabled or handicapped or equivalent qualification from university recognized by Higher Education Commission.
- Age Limit: 21-28 years (Age relaxation is separately allowed as per Rules)

- Academic Qualification:
- (i) M.A. or BS (second division or grade-C) in Special Education with specialization in the field Blind or equivalent qualification from a university recognized by Higher Education Commission; and
- (ii) Certificate of proficiency in Braille issued by the Directorate General of Special Education, Punjab.
- Age Limit: 21-28 years (Age relaxation is separately allowed as per Rules)

2. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- Candidates must possess the prescribed qualifications and fall within the prescribed age limit as per the STI Policy issued by the Special Education Department.
- Age shall be calculated in accordance with Government rules, including admissible age relaxation.
- Fresh candidates possessing the prescribed qualifications are encouraged to apply.
- Preference may be given to candidates having relevant teaching experience.
3. TERMS & CONDITIONS
- Engagement shall be purely temporary, school-specific, and non-transferable.
- Duration: 09 months (excluding summer and winter vacations) during the Financial Year 2026–27, or until the arrival of regular incumbents, whichever is earlier.
- Monthly Honorarium:
- BS-17: Rs. 45,000/-
- BS-16: Rs. 40,000/-
- Age Relaxation (as per Government Rules):
- Male candidates: up to 05 years relaxation
- Female candidates: up to 08 years relaxation
- Persons with Disabilities (PWDs): up to 15 years relaxation (subject to valid disability certificate)
- No right of regular appointment shall be conferred.
- Performance and attendance shall be strictly monitored by the concerned authorities.
- Engagement may be terminated with one month’s notice or payment in lieu thereof.
4. APPLICATION PROCEDURE
- Interested candidates shall submit applications along with attested copies of documents: CV, CNIC, Domicile, Academic Certificates/Degrees, Experience Certificates (if any), and two passport-size photographs.
- Applications must reach the concerned institution by hand or courier on or before 12-10-2026 (Monday) by 03:00 PM.
- Incomplete or late applications shall not be entertained.
- Interviews of eligible/shortlisted candidates will be held on 14-10-2026 (Wednesday) at 10:30 AM at Government Secondary Special Education Centre, Opposite Old Railway Workshop, Near Wapda Scarp, Mohallah Islamnagar, Bahawalnagar. No separate call letters will be issued.
- Original documents must be presented at the time of interview.
- Department reserves the right to increase/decrease posts or cancel recruitment at any stage.
- No TA/DA will be admissible.
