South City Hospital, Karachi, Pakistan, a leading tertiary care healthcare facility in Karachi, is seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and result-oriented professional to join our team as Assistant Manager – Housekeeping.
JOB TITLE: ASSISTANT MANAGER – HOUSEKEEPING
DEPARTMENT: HOUSEKEEPING
LOCATION: KARACHI
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise and manage daily housekeeping operations across the hospital.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, sanitation, and infection prevention.
- Monitor housekeeping staff, attendance, performance, and duty rosters.
- Ensure proper cleaning of patient areas, clinical departments, offices, and common areas.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to address housekeeping requirements and complaints.
- Monitor the availability and appropriate use of cleaning materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Conduct regular inspections and ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.
- Train and guide housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, hygiene standards, and workplace safety.
- Maintain relevant records, reports, checklists, and departmental documentation.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in housekeeping operations, preferably in a hospital, healthcare facility, hotel, or large-scale organization.
- Candidates with strong experience in hospital housekeeping and infection prevention standards will be highly preferred.
- Proven experience in team leadership, staff supervision, manpower planning, and operational management.
- Strong knowledge of hospital cleaning protocols, sanitation standards, waste segregation, chemical handling, and infection control practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure healthcare environment.
- Strong command of MS Office and departmental reporting/documentation.
- A proactive, disciplined, professional, and service-oriented approach is essential.
