OPERATION & MAINTENANCE (O&M) ENGINEER

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitor plant performance through SCADA and ensure maximum equipment uptime.
Execute preventive, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities.
Supervise maintenance of PV modules, inverters, Power transformers, MV/LV switchgear, protection systems, RMUs, transformers & auxiliary equipment.
Perform fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis (RCA) to minimize downtime.
Plan and coordinate maintenance activities with technicians and sub-contractors.
Monitor key performance indicators (Availability, PR, inverter efficiency, and energy yield).
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational and maintenance reports.
Maintain maintenance records, equipment history, and spare parts inventory.
Ensure compliance with HSE standards, PTW, LOTO, and company safety procedures.
Coordinate with OEMs for warranty claims, technical support, and major maintenance activities.
Regular compliance to all stakeholders in NPCC/RCC/NTDC.
Support plant testing, inspections, and regulatory audits.
Identify opportunities for plant performance improvement and implement reliability enhancement initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
5+ years of experience in Operations & Maintenance of utility-scale Power Plants.
Hands-on experience with SCADA, Central/String Inverters, MV/LV Systems, Transformers, Protection Systems, and Substations (33/132 kV).
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of HSE practices, Permit-to-Work (PTW), and Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO).
Excellent communication, reporting, and team leadership skills.
