Location:Karachi – Head office
Position Description:
The Head of Compliance will lead the Compliance Function across the business, develop plans for company-wide compliance coverage, and achieve the Compliance Function’s objectives by providing strategic direction and focus.
Will also provide the company with expert regulatory compliance assistance by creating and implementing an efficient compliance management structure.
Job Responsibilities:
- Establish and continuously improve a consistent operating framework for the identification, management, monitoring and reporting of Compliance risks and issues.
- Responsible for ensuring that the operating framework to meet internal and statutory requirements.
- To advise senior management on laws, regulations and standards, including keeping them informed on developments in the area. To guide the senior management to take pre-emptive action to ensure compliance.
- Develop an appropriate compliance communication strategy and facilitate the implementation across the company.
- Develop an appropriate and effective compliance training strategy.
- Advice and guide business units and management on all relevant compliance issues.
- Foster & promote a strong compliance culture throughout the company.
- Ensure that internal policies do not contravene current and/or proposed legislation, rules and regulations.
- Monitor non-compliance and escalate any relevant issues where non-compliance is not addressed.
Required Competencies to successfully perform:
- Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Ability to lead and manage a compliance team, influencing stakeholders across the organization
- Strong communication & analytical abilities
- Proven ability to manage inspections, inquiries, and maintain healthy regulator relationships.
- Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks.
