Job Title: Chinese Translator (Production) – Coal Mining Industry
Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly proficient Chinese Translators/Interpreters to join the Production department at the Tharparkar coal mining site. This role is critical in facilitating effective communication between Chinese-speaking employees and various departments within the organization. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate interpretation and translation of documents, meetings, and other communication channels.
Responsibilities:
✔ Translate documents, reports, and correspondence from Chinese to English and vice versa.
✔ Interpret conversations and meetings between Chinese-speaking employees and local employees.
✔ Assist in the translation of technical documents, safety manuals, and training materials related to coal mining operations.
✔ Collaborate with multiple departments, including Administration, Human Resources, Operations, and Safety, to ensure clear and accurate communication.
✔ Provide language support for Chinese-speaking employees in their day-to-day activities and interactions with colleagues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Chinese Language, Translation, Linguistics, or a related field is preferred; additional certifications like HSK, HSKK are a plus.
- At least 3 years’ experience in translation, proven experience as a site or technical translator or interpreter, preferably in a corporate or industrial setting.
- Knowledge of technical terminology related to coal mining or a willingness to learn.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality translations within tight deadlines.
- Proficient in English and Chinese, both written and spoken.
- Tharparkar or nearby cities will be given priority.
