Job Title: Senior Hardware Design Engineer (MCU)

Job Description:
Sky Electric (Pvt) Ltd. is looking for a skilled and motivated electrical engineer to design and develop analog and digital circuits intended to be used in the next generation of hybrid solar inverters.
Responsibilities:
· Design and develop analog and digital circuits for microcontrollers, DSPs, relay drives, gate drives for IGBTs, and sensors used within a hybrid inverter.
· Start to finish ownership of hardware – from specification to design, prototype, reliability validation and high-volume manufacturing.
· Collaborate with mechanical, PCB layout, and firmware engineering teams to successfully design, validate and manufacture power converters.
· Work with certification labs in Japan to ensure all compliance requirements for hardware design are met.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability.
· Proven 3 or more years of relevant hands-on hardware experience (TI DSP based boards, LEM current sensors, filtering schemes for sensors, OP-AMP design, gate drives for IGBTs).
· Good understanding of power electronics topologies (AC/DC, DC/DC; DC/AC)
· Good understanding of switching waveforms for various converter topologies.
· Familiar with schematic capture and power converter circuit simulation tools.

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated electrical engineer to design and develop Power Electronics converter hardware intended to be used in the next generation of inverters.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design and build hardware of power electronics converters for use in hybrid solar inverters.
· Start to finish ownership of hardware – from specification to design, prototype, reliability validation and high-volume manufacturing.
· Collaborate with mechanical, PCB layout, and firmware engineering teams to successfully design, validate and manufacture power converters.
· Architecture and modeling of new power converter topologies that achieve better performance.
Requirements:
· BS degree in Electrical Engineering, or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability.
· 2 or more years of relevant hands-on hardware experience in power converter (AC/DC, DC/DC; DC/AC) design.
· Strong understanding of power electronics topologies (AC/DC, DC/DC ; DC/AC).
· Experience with high voltage power semiconductors (IGBTs), gate drives and protection circuit design.
· Good understanding of switching waveforms, Semiconductor losses and experience with loss modeling.
· Solid understanding of the theory and application of magnetics (inductors, transformers) and capacitors (Electrolytic, film and Ceramic) used for power conversion.
· Good experience with designing analog/digital circuits and microprocessors.
· Familiar with schematic capture and power converter circuit simulation tools.
